Frequently Asked Questions

Our Services

1. Who can submit a sourcing request?

International buyers looking for suppliers in Türkiye and Türkiye-based businesses looking to import products can submit a request. Choose the form that matches your trade direction.

2. Can I choose a country for an import supplier search?

Yes. You can select a specific source country or choose a worldwide search in the Import Sourcing Request form.

3. What information should I include in my request?

Provide the product description, quantity, specifications, quality requirements, destination and preferred delivery terms. Drawings, certifications or other supporting files can help us assess your request more accurately.

4. What happens after I submit the form?

We review your requirements, research relevant suppliers and prepare a report of suitable candidates. Where appropriate, we prepare requests for quotation for our team to review before contacting suppliers.

5. Are the suppliers and their offers guaranteed?

No. A research shortlist identifies potential suppliers; it does not guarantee current stock, a final price, certification validity or delivery on a particular date. These details must be confirmed directly in a written supplier quotation.

6. Will my contact details be shared with suppliers immediately?

No. At the initial quotation stage, we can withhold your identity and contact details while sharing the product requirements needed for a meaningful offer. Any later introduction is coordinated as the request progresses.

7. Are quotation requests sent automatically?

No. Supplier email drafts are prepared for internal review. Our team checks and approves them before any message is sent.

Import and Export Basics

8. What is an HS code?

An HS code is an internationally used product classification code. Correct classification helps determine which customs rules and requirements may apply. The final classification should be checked for the product and destination country.

9. What are Incoterms®?

Incoterms® are standard trade rules that clarify how certain delivery responsibilities, costs and risks are divided between buyer and seller. The chosen rule should be stated clearly in the written quotation or contract.

10. Which documents may be needed for international trade?

Requirements vary by product, origin and destination. Common documents can include a commercial invoice, packing list, transport document and, where applicable, certificates of origin, conformity or inspection. Confirm the exact requirements before shipment.

11. Who pays customs duties and taxes?

That depends on the product classification, origin, destination, applicable rules and the agreed delivery terms. Duties and taxes should be checked for the specific transaction rather than assumed from a general estimate.

12. Is a supplier quotation the same as a confirmed order?

No. A quotation sets out proposed commercial terms. Before placing an order, both parties should confirm the specifications, quantity, price, payment terms, delivery terms, documents and timetable in writing.
